The 2025–2026 Rescue Sport Series from Lifesaving Western Cape delivered its most competitive and expansive season to date, featuring eight Surf and Pool competitions, making it the largest event calendar in the history of the series.
Powered by Solid Oak Insurance, the series continues to provide a structured high-performance pathway for surf lifesaving athletes, combining national ranking systems, discipline-based racing, and cash prize allocations across Open and U19 divisions.
Athletes competed for points across six core surf disciplines — Flags, Sprints, Swim, Board, Ski, and Beach Run — accumulating points throughout the season toward overall rankings and championship titles. Check out the full series information on how it works.

The 2025–2026 Rescue Sport Series set a new benchmark for participation, depth of competition, and athlete performance across South African surf lifesaving.
With eight events across Surf and Pool disciplines, structured ranking systems, and official cash prize allocations in Open and U19 divisions, the series continues to grow as a leading performance pathway in the sport.
We look forward to building on this momentum, expanding sponsorship partnerships, and continuing to elevate lifesaving sport across the country.
